Brad Fauss is joining Wirecard North America as general counsel and vice president, compliance and governmental affairs. In his new role, he is responsible for managing the legal, compliance and governmental affairs functions for the North American business. Wirecard, a payments and commerce leader headquartered in Munich, finalized its acquisition of Citi Prepaid Services in March 2017, as part of its global expansion strategy.
Fauss most recently served as president and CEO of the NBPCA, a nonprofit trade group that has raised its profile under Fauss’ leadership. The group has been particularly active in working with the CFPB on its final rule on prepaid accounts and with the IRS Security Summit to help fight identity theft-related tax refund fraud. Fauss has been involved with the NBPCA since its inception in 2006 and has served as either an advisory board member or as a director. In addition to his work with the NBPCA, Fauss is a nationally recognized payments expert with more than 15 years of experience in the payments industry including senior leadership positions with Brightwell Payments, TSYS Prepaid and Global Payments, among others.
