Blackhawk Network has named David Tate as senior vice president of the company’s U.S. retail business. In his new role, Tate will report to Blackhawk’s CEO and president, Talbott Roche. Tate joined Blackhawk in 2001, and most recently served as senior vice president, products and marketing. During his time with Blackhawk, Tate has helped lead the company’s core gift, open-loop gift, telecom, GPR, digital and emerging payments divisions, as well as all business development and marketing functions.
In his new, expanded role, Tate will be responsible for U.S. retail and digital sales, account management and merchandising, in addition to his previous areas of responsibilities in new product development, including digital and marketing. He will focus on growing Blackhawk’s business in both existing and new accounts, and deploying products and cross-selling of services into Blackhawk’s established retail base.
