The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has appointed Green Dot Corp. founder and CEO Steve Streit to its Los Angeles Branch board of directors for a three-year term, beginning Jan. 1, 2017. Streit is replacing David Rainer, chairman and CEO, California United Bank, whose term has expired. Streit has served as Green Dot CEO for more than 17 years since founding the company in 1999, and also served as chairman of the Green Dot board until 2016. During his time at the helm, Green Dot has grown to become one of the U.S.’s largest providers of reloadable prepaid cards. Streit has been recognized for numerous industry awards, including Industry Achievement honors at the 2009 Pay Awards.
