Polish fintech group ZenCard, alongside three other companies, is set to launch its technologies on the Finnish market after winning the OP Smart Commerce programme led by OP Financial Group, reports Banking Technology (Paybefore‘s sister publication).
OP Financial Group held its OP Smart Commerce Programme in October 2017 for companies offering “revolutionary” fintech solutions, seeking fintechs offering tools with “fast implementation possibilities that increases benefits offered by banks, both for businesses and customers”.
Out of 100 fintech companies from around the world four projects were selected, including the card-linked marketing technology offered by ZenCard.
In the next three months, ZenCard will be preparing its first version of the product for the Finnish market. Initially, the product will reach SMEs by integration with cash register systems from PIVO Kassa offered by OP Financial Group.
According to OP Financial Group, co-operation with larger commercial stores and ZenCard is in the works, as the system progresses towards being implemented throughout Finland.
