Online-only bank Moven has unveiled a financial app in the U.K. to help “make monetary monitoring easy for everyone,” according to company founder Brett King who announced the launch at FinovateEurope. King said the app is the company’s first launch in Europe, and it’s looking for more partnerships across the rest of the continent, according to Paybefore sister publication Banking Technology. Moven was introduced in the U.S. in 2013.
Moven said it “works alongside banks,” and the app acts as an intermediary between traditional financial institutions and millennials. Millennials are not pleased with the big players because of the financial crisis of 2008 and have a “strong impression that banks are not to be trusted,” according to the company.
The app provides a consolidated view of users’ financial information and allows users to monitor and track spending habits, such as how much and where they have been spending during a given month. The free app is available on iOS and Android. Users download the app from the U.K. app store, and add their current bank accounts.
