NCR is hungry for more restaurant business, announcing its third such partnership in the last month. The Duluth, Ga.-based company is working with Performance Food Group (PFG) to offer its NCR Silver cloud-based, point-of-sale solution to a new group of independent restaurants.
The strategic relationship with PFG, a food service supplier, will introduce NCR Silver to PFG’s 36 Performance Foodservice distribution centers nationwide, which deliver food and food-related products to regional and national restaurant operators. Restaurateurs will be able to purchase NCR Silver software and hardware under a subscription service model.
With NCR Silver, Performance Foodservice customers will be able to check out customers quickly and gain access to sales, inventory and employee scheduling reports, according to NCR. They also will be able to offer customers targeted loyalty discounts and promotions. NCR Silver’s award-winning customer service team provides live, 24/7 U.S.-based support.
Utilizing cloud and tablet technology, NCR Silver enables mobile payments through iOS and Android platforms.
PFG soon will expand its relationship with NCR by integrating its order management system with NCR Silver to further streamline restaurant operations, the companies said. The planned integration will enable restaurant operators to ring up orders, manage inventory and employee schedules, as well as order from PFG’s inventory of food and food-related products.
